I've created a new Kanban board within a preestablished project. This project has a specific workflow (statuses) and I would like to take pieces from. I have created the columns with the specific statuses in mind, no problems there, However even when I move workflow options as an unmarked status in the columns, they still present as an option when actually designating a status. Would like these unused workflow statuses hidden if possible.
Thanks!
Hello @Bassel.Kharwat
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
A board is just a way to visualize and manipulate the issues in the project. The board does not govern the workflow of the issues.
You cannot customize the workflow for issues per board. A workflow applies to an issue type in a project regardless of how many boards show that issue.
Putting the Status into the Unmapped Statuses area of the board configuration does not actually change the workflow in any way. What it does is prevent issues assigned that status from displaying in the board or its backlog. Issues can still be changed to that status.
The only way to prevent that Status from being available for selection is to actually change the workflow, which would then impact all the issues to which that workflow applies, across all projects.
Welcome to the community!
I am unsure what the issue is. Could you please provide some screenshots that illustrate the problem?
Best regards
Sam

Hi @Samuel Gatica _ServiceRocket_
These are the columns I've created in the board I've created, and the statuses I've tried to designate as unmapped statuses.
However when looking through the status options on a specific task on the board, I still have the option to assign one of the ones below. I would just like the specific statuses to match the specific columns. "Ready to work", "Waiting on", "In Progress", "In Verification", "Done".
Hope this clears it up
