Advanced Planning Initiatives in Plan but not in Jira Issue Type Hierarchy

Frank Castellucci June 14, 2024

We have a site under an Atlassian Cloud Premium instance.

With Advanced Roadmap one had the ability to create an Initiative for planning that existed outside of the Jira Issue Type hierarchy.

In using Advanced Planning ('Plan') I do not see that ability but it appears I must add Initiative to the hierarchy.

I am a site-admin for the site and just not seeing how to accomplish?

Hello @Frank Castellucci

You need to check on Setting -> issue types -> issue types hierarchy

Normally, you should see the settings for your instance.

If there are other levels higher than epic, you should be able to see and display them on your Plan.

@Duc Thang TRAN

My question is whether creating an Initiative outside of touching the Jira Type hierarchy was available in advanced planning as it was in advanced roadmap?
