Hi there,
We are still using Jira and Confluence on the server. After the upgrade of Jira nd Confluence, an application called Synergetic Management System was installed. As we log on to Jira and Confluence and try the linking process, we get the below message. Has anyone heard of this? Why is this applications installed itself? Is this a hidden application?
We did not install the application. Is this a security concern?
This looks like you've created an application link to their Jira and after upgrade, it's asking for re-authentication to check it is allowed to connect to the new system.
It does not look like an app has been installed (but if it has, then it was an app that was installed before you upgraded, it's not self-installed, it had to have been there before upgrade)
If you are not sure, the best thing you can do is deny access.
If one of your people comes to you later and asks why it has stopped working, that's fine, they should have been keeping their admins informed, and responded when you announced you were going to upgrade and needed to check all integrations.
Hi,
I will check with the system admin in case it was there before the upgrade.
Now that we have some guidance, we will investigate further!
Thank you!

It was an Internal Hardcoded script by our Vendor and has no security impact.

Hi,
No, I just checked the application links, no we have not configured any links for this application: These are the only links that we currently have:
