An issue with columns in agile boards

Hi all,

I am using jira and currently tracking status of my scrum teams using the burn-down chart. Jira tickets in my board have five status as "ToDo", "In-progress", "Done", "Re-open", "Verified". So I have created columns for that board in a sequence of "ToDo", "In-progress", "Done", "Re-open", "Verified". When it comes to burn-down chart, it calculates a ticket in a "Verified" status as a one burn-down because it is the last column in my board. But I need to change this as to calculate tickets in both "Done" and "Verified" status as burn-downs. I tried to change the column structure by keeping both "Done" and "Verified" status in the last column, but when my team members try to view tickets in active sprint view, they are not able to see a column as "Done". How can I overcome this issue

Cheers,

Hansi

You have the right idea - Done and Verified both need to be in the last right-hand column ("done").

But your team members should be able to view that in the board.  Are you saying everyone cannot see the issues, or is it just your team members?  Or is it by status?  (You can see verified issues, but not done)?

Hi @Nic Brough -Adaptavist-

My problem is that when I place both "Done" and "Verified" status in the last right hand column. But when I do that in the "Active sprint" view my team members are not able to see a separate column as "Verified" with verified tickets. This happens to all teams who use the same board

Hansi

So they can see the issues in the "done" column?

You need to decide whether verified issues are done (according to your definition of done for the board).  If they are, then you need them in the done column to count towards burndown and velocity.  If they are not done, then they can go in their own column that clearly shows that they are not.
