An open EPIC showing as Done

Hello Team,

 We cloned an epic from another closed epic. When we are attaching the task issues to epic, the epic link is not showing in the epic link field in the ticket, but the epic in still in progress. When I checked the "Show Done Epics" list. and in the original ticket its showing in progress. What could be the reason ? Please find the attached screen shot for your reference.

Hi Lakshmi,

There is a status of Epic - Closed that most people notice along with a Resolution of Done. But there is a field called Epic Status that needs to also be set to Done.

 Thank you for the quick turnaround. When I added the epic status field to epic and put the epic status to in progress. It showed on epic link list.

Are you sure that field is populated for that issue?

I added that field on the epic screen and set the field to in progress, after that the epic is showing in the task ticket epic link without selecting "Show Done Epics". Anything wrong @John Funk ?

i just figured out those comments about using showing done epics .and realized that it is just used for guide to make our search faster showing done epics is just like showing us what we want to find . but not accurately we just need to make sure  it is . for me it is helpful because it was providing what we need.
