Any bad impact on old issues when changing Issues fields configuration?

I will plan to modify several issues optional fields  to required ones according to needs. I wonder if the change would cause old issues loss.

Hi @Eri_Ito and welcome to the Community!

Changing a field setting from optional to required does not impact any data from the past. But it will impact the behaviour of your screens and worflows (obviously).

When you make a field required, users will no longer be able to create or update issues where that information is missing, so you should at least make sure that all fields you make required are available on all create and edit screens where the data is used.
