Any way to add Message on Create Screen via Script Runner Plugin

Hi Guys,

Is their any way to add Message on create screen at top, any warning message via script runner plugin.  Please suggest anything

Any best solution to show warning message on Create Screen.

Hi Vikrant,

I can confirm that Atlassian on the Create Screen which you can use to add a panel containing a message with using the Script Fragments feature provided by ScriptRunner for Jira Server.

However I can confirm that the Behaviors feature ScriptRunner for Jira Server provides the setHelpText() method as described here which allows you place a warning message below a field on a screen.

Using this method you would be able to define a Behavior mapped to the Create Screen for your project using a condition as described here, and to display the warning message below the Summary field which is the top field on the issue screen.

This is the closest that you will be able to get to displaying a warning at the top of the create screen with ScriptRunner.

But i am trying Script Fragment first time, i have followed all the steps mentioned in this link , but still not showing message on the create issue screen. Please help me.. i am new for the functionality. I think i am selecting wrong location. Which location do i need to select to show on create issue screen.

Hi Vikrant,

Please note as stated in my previous response that it is not possible to use Script Fragments to add a message to the Create Screen as Atlassian does not provide any locations for the Create Screen.

This means as mentioned previously all you can do is to add some help text below the Summary field using Behaviors as mentioned in my previous response as this is the only way that you can add text onto the Create Screen with ScriptRunner.

I was thinking Script Fragments working.  But Behavior is only option that i can use.
