Any way to count number of comments by a specific user over a period of time?

Closest I've come is to use Scriprunner's function issueFunction in commented to determine where user has commented, but need to filter for multiple comments by same user to get an accurate count.

Emile,

JIRA does not have a functionality that shows the number of comments added to any specific issue by a specific person.

However there are 2 plugins that may interest you which you could take a look at:
* JIRA Toolkit Plugin with a functionality of a Count field described here.
* Scriptrunner also has a similar functionality as described here.
