I have created a workflow which requires an approval from a concerned user. Then I had created an automation rule which says that if an approval is completed for the issue, then an email should be triggered.
But somehow it is not working, no error are shown , it seems like rule is not triggering at all.

Is this a team-managed JSM Project or JSW Project?
Seems like you have not implemented the actual Approval Workflow!!
If this is the Jira Software Project you cannot use the Approval trigger here (Its the JSM Project feature)
You could just check with having the trigger as the issue transitioned to Done
