Currently next-gen projects are not available on Jira server.
If you are planning to import cloud backup into server then first you have to migrate next-gen issues into classic projects and only then you can import the cloud backup into server.

The linked issue already has 271 votes in less than a year, looks like it's an actual expectation from customers. Especially for our company having migrated from cloud to data center for security reasons and having lost that kind of great feature.

I agree with @Rudy Dullier . A cloud version will also never be an option for our companys. This feature is a must-have for Jira servers. I think it is a very dangerous business strategy to publish cloud-only features over and over again...
