Are advanced attachment configurations possible for JIRA Cloud?

I want to disable users from creating huge attachments that break the CSS/Layout of JIRA making it difficult to work with

I don't want to disable thumbnail attachments entirely.

For the server version there are properties you can set the maxwidth and maxheight of thumbnails: https://confluence.atlassian.com/adminjiraserver/configuring-file-attachments-938847851.html

Is there something similar for Cloud?

Hello @Chris

Thank you for reaching out.

Unfortunately, it is not possible at all to set a default height and width to attachments thumbnails in Jira Cloud.

We indeed agree with you that this would be a very useful functionality to avoid misreading in your issue comments with huge images breaking the text, so we created the following feature request to get it improved:

Ability to set the thumbnail size

Feel free to vote and watch the suggestion to increase its priority and also receive notifications about any updates.

As a workaround, you can edit the thumbnails attachments by using the wiki renderer syntax (Old issue view) to set the thumbnail size, also instructing your team to do the same:

!Apple.png|thumbnail, width=300,height=400!

Let us know if you have any questions.

If it were that simple I wouldn't need to restrict them :)

Thanks for creating the issue!
