Are swimlanes only available in SW project boards?

I created a classic business project using the scrum project template but do not see an option for organizing the board by swimlanes. is this only available on SW projects?

So with Business projects you get a default non-configurable board. However, you can create configurable classic board independent of the default one. You simply create the desired board (scrum, kanban) and for the "Location" you must choose your profile. Then you can add the board to the sidebar of your business project using the "Add item" and paste in the URL to the board. This will of course result in the user being redirected out of the project to another page since it is stored in your profile.

Oh wow, this a true Jira kung-fu. I guess, you also need to specify a JQL for the board to pull tickets from the Business project.

@George Mihailoff , if you want the entire project to show then you can create from existing project. If you want specific issues then you need to create using a saved filter.

@George Mihailoff @Sounds harder than it is:

go to boards —> create a board —>  choose scrum —> choose project xyz or Filter zyx as basis
