Assignee is being set with project lead thoush default assignee is not set in project setting!

Hi,

Though the default assignee =unassigned in the project setting, when I create a work item, it's being assigned the name of project lead as assignee!

Hi @Chandrashekhar Kavi,

This can be the result of a workflow or other automation rule that kicks in when an issue is created, which then updates your issue and overrules the default assignee behaviour.

Hi Walter,

This is the fresh project I have just created for testing purpose only, it's just created a property in status "To Do".

My purpose: Assignee should not be assign when creating or updating work item, if it's status is "To Do".

I am attaching Screenshot for your reference.
