Associate a notification schema to project

anthony August 26, 2019

Hello,

I'm trying to do something that I think should be straightforward. I'm attempting to associate a default notification scheme to an existing project. I am using the "New Look & Feel". I have JIRA Admin global privileges. And per this post one should be able to navigate to the project settings and see a "Notifications" tab. But nothing is there. Only:

  • Details
  • People
  • Issue Types
  • Features

Am I missing something? Is there something I need to enable? I've burnt like 30 minutes searching and clicking to find a solution to no avail.

Any help is greatly appreciated!

It can be some permission issue, but try this url it might help

https://<SITE>.atlassian.net/plugins/servlet/project-config/<PROJECT_KEY>/notifications

If this page doesn't open or shows issues related to permission ask your admin to provide you rights.

Redirects to People. And I am the "admin" with global admin privileges.

Wondering if this may be an issue with the "New Look & Feel".

Interesting. What specific group privileges do you have?

I'm part of the following groups:

  • administrators
  • site-admins
  • jira-administrators

Perhaps there's something else I'm missing?

Reading this post, looks like it may well be a next-gen thing

@anthonyI got it, I am using classic project. This is indeed an issue with Next-Gen project.

I must say Atlassian is doing really bad in Nex-Gen project and New UI.
