Make sure that there is not a firewall rule preventing access.

Firewall Rules

To allow UPM to perform online functions behind a firewall, you need to set up firewall whitelist rules that enable UPM to connect on port 443 to these servers:

  • *.atlassian.com: UPM connects to several servers in the atlassian.com domain, including marketplace.atlassian.com, marketplace-cdn.atlassian.com, id.atlassian.com, maven.atlassian.com, and others.
  • *.cloudfront.net: certain Marketplace assets (screenshots, logos etc) are hosted on cloudfront. Calls to that domain are expected.

Thanks for your help but we can reach marketplace via browser from Server. This didn't solve our problem.

Same here. We can't establish a TLS connection to the atlassian webservers via our CentOS 7. A connection via curl is also not working. Our firewall is not blocking it and there is no HTTPS inspection or other snakeoil in between.

Okay so it looks like TLS 1.2 and up is suppoted by the webserver. From a quick google search I found out that CentOS is only speaking TLS 1.1.

CentOS 7 is able to speak TLS 1.2. However I can't connect to the atlassian webservers. Every over TLS 1.2 enabled webserver works. So this is not a CentOS problem.
