Attact file to Protected data in Jira Core

Olga Volova March 29, 2018

I'm very new to Jira Core and I'm looking to see if this product would met our requirements. I need to be able to attach file(s) with protected data to the record. I would like all users to be able to view the record , but only the "approved" users to view the file? Is it possible to accomplish? How do I define where the file is stored and security around this file to prevent anyone to view the file without access to Jira Core?
Also, protected information could be stored in one field (not file). The same requirement as for the files. I need all users to see the record, but on "approved" users to see the data in this field. Is there a way to define security that way?

Thank you very much!

No, Jira's security only goes down to the issue level.  You can only protect the whole issue, all of it, or nothing.
