Hi,
According to this page it is possible to set sprints up to auto-start and auto-complete while moving open issues --> https://confluence.atlassian.com/jirasoftwareserver/configuring-a-sprint-to-auto-start-and-auto-complete-1235848794.html
However, none of the features mentioned on the page are available for me, even though I have all the permissions.
Has this option been disabled today or is there another way to do this?
Thank you!
Hi @Caitlin.Pedersen , thanks for your question. The documentation you refer to is for Data Center and you have indicated you are in the cloud. Is this correct? If so, this could be the reason why you don't see the possibility in cloud as many things are different between the two platforms. Please can you clarify?
Thank you for your reply.
That is definitely the issue. I was not aware that the documentation was for the Data Center.
Do you know if there's any way to set auto-start and complete on sprints in the cloud?
Thank you!

Hi @Caitlin.Pedersen , thanks for your answer.
It doesn't look like there is a similar feature in cloud, also from other people who asked this question - https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-Software-questions/Can-I-auto-start-and-complete-Sprints-in-Jira-Cloud/qaq-p/2525911
I think you could used a scheduled automation to get a similar outcome.
Do you think this would work for your use case?
Where you can schedule when the rule is run to create e new sprint, setting the start / end dates at the same time.
Please can you try this out and let us have your feedback?
Cheers

Hi again @Valerie Knapp
Thank you for your suggestion!
I looked in to this possibility and unfortunately it wouldn't work for us, as we plan ahead which issues goes in the upcoming sprints, so creating a new sprint automatically wouldn't solve this.
I might try this plugin instead as it seems like there's currently no perfect solution in Jira cloud --> https://marketplace.atlassian.com/apps/1225720/sprint-automation-for-jira?tab=overview&hosting=cloud
Thanks again!
