Automatic assign to reporter

Ticket should assign to reporter when moving it from one status to other status automatically, to achieve this which option should I use (postfunction or condition or validation).

Ex; Inprogress ------------->Inreview (while moving inprogress to inreview it should auto assign to reporter)

How to achieve this, Thanks in advance!!!

Hi @Ganesh You need to use post function for this. as you are using Jira Cloud, you can Automation for Jira as well. Both approach works for you.

And if it is company managed project then you have to add rule “Assign issue to other” on transition and select Issue Reporter.
