Automatically propogate labels from an epic to all of its children and grandchildren.

What do you mean by automatically propagate labels?

You could do this with automation rules, or possibly marketplace addons.  To do this with automation rules, please ensure you cover all the scenarios which are relevant to you.  For example:

1. Labels changed in an existing epic with child issues
2. Issue created and assigned to an existing epic
3. Issue edited and assigned to an existing epic
4. Subtask issue created for a parent assigned to an existing epic
5. Epics and children which are in different Jira projects.  For this scenario, such a rule would need to be global/multi-project scope rather than project scope.
6. Someone directly edits the labels in an issue other than the epic
7. etc.

Also please note that the way epics and children link is different in Company-Managed and Team-Managed projects: company-managed use "Epic Link" and team-managed uses "Parent".

What is not working and what do you observe?

What have you tried to diagnose the problem? (e.g. review audit log, review the issues, review the workflow, etc.)

In Audit log ,rule is success,
 I am not able to see changes in child ticket.

Thanks for that information. 

Would you also include images of each Create Variable and Issue Edit component to show the details?  That may reveal what is happening better.

And have you tried writing the created variables to the audit log to confirm they contain what you expected?

 I have created the below rule.IF I add label in parent , It should be affect to child and grandchild.

In audit log it is showing success. when it is implementing  I am not able to find  labels to the child and grandchild.

How is it possible?

Hi @Arnav 

To achieve this, you can have 2 automation:

1 which will copy labels from epic to its children and then 2nd which will copy from children to grand children.
