Automation - How do I automatically add field data from epic and put in child

I am creating an automation to add a child to an epic.  Most of the information for my child I can put in the input fields that I have added.

I would like though to be able to grab information that was inputted in a custom field on the EPIC.

Is that even possible?

Hi @Sonja Altmann 

Yes, that is possible.  When you create the issue in your automation rule, some fields offer the option to "Copy from parent".  For other fields, you may reference the parent issue's smart values.

If that does not help, please post an image of your complete automation rule, including the details of your create issue action.  Those will provide context for the community to offer suggestions.
