Hi !
If Status of UserStory or an Issue Transitioned to Done ...then Can It be automated where Assignee should be changed/flipped to the Initial/First/Original Assignee of the Ticket ?
Can this automation be done ? If yes, how ?
Request assistance.
Thanks
Parveen
Hi Praveen - you won't be able to do that unless you capture who that is in a custom field first.
So create a custom single user picker field. Then create an automation rule that populates that field with the user in the assignee field the first time it is update/populated.
You mean first I need to create custom field. Then post automation only custom field would be populated with first(original) assignee name whenever assignee field would be updated for the first time
Ok! I will try that.
Thanks

Scenario 1 :
When I create issue .... Assignee and Reporter will be Parveen
I have to assign the issue to the actual First Assignee (depending on the work type) -- Let say I assigned it to Person A who I want to be the First or say Original Owner of that particular issue.
He does his job. He assigned it to Person B for next job. Here, I want custom field "First Assignee" to be populated with Person A. Now field should remain static irrespective of multiple changes in assignee field thereafter.
Want to make it UserStory wise.
If you can help

Sorry Parveen - I forgot about this. For the First Assignee field you should click on the 3 dots to the right of the field and choose Copy from. Then choose Current Issue and Assignee for the two values. It should look like this:
Also you don't need both of those steps to Assign issue AND Edit Issue for the Assignee field. You can do either one, but you don't need both. The First Assignee field needs to be an Edit Issue like what you have.
