Automation creation of jira ticket based on custom field selection.

I have custom field called " change type" that is single select drop-down list with the value options "installation","configuration changes","patching","Deployment","infrastructure",golden configuration changes". Whenever a ticket with change type = golden configuration changes or " golden configuration changes is approved, trigger an auto creation of jira ticket.

You will need to use a plugin such as ScriptRunner to accomplish this.  Since the approval is already in a workflow transition you can add it as a post function.  The post function can evaluate the field and then auto generate the issue using ScriptRunner.
