Hello,
I want to make an automation that triggers adding watchers in a linked issue that is in another project.
Ej. I have project AAA, if something happens, create a linked issue in project BBB and add person X as watcher in the new BBB issue.
With automation I can create the linked issue in project BBB but, when I try to add the watchers withthe related issues condition only shows project AAA.
If I go to global administration I can add project AAA and BBB. But from project AAA only that projects shows up, resulting that the watchers do not get added because is not considering that project.
Is this normal? To me it seems like a bug? This works with the default service desk automation. But Automation for jira (the app) is not able to do this?
Has someone managed to do this?
Hi Lara,
Can you share the rule you have created so far? It might be an issue of creating a branch.
Hello John,
I think the issue is that I am trying to add a watcher ( or comment which is the same case as both are not included in "issue creation") to a linked issue that has just been created from the same automation.
The only solution I see is that I have to break down my rule in two.
