Automations are clobbering each-other. How do I fix them?

Scott Federman February 11, 2022

I have an issue type (comp change request) that has another issue type (comp agreement) auto-generated using a post function in the workflow. When the Comp Agreement is generated, it generates multiple subtasks in the comp agreement ticket. I have an automation that when all subtasks are completed then the Comp agreement is transitioned to done. The issue is that there is an automation in place that when the comp agreement is done it is supposed to transition the comp change request to "Work in Progress". This automation works fine when I update the status in the comp agreement directly from in progress>done. However, if I complete the subtasks in the comp agreement and the comp agreement is auto transitioned to done, it does not transition the linked Comp change request ticket. Why is this happening?

Have you checked the box to allow other rules to trigger the one that transitions the linked Comp change?
