Backlog, Epic panel not hiding done epics in next-gen project

Armen Babakanian November 15, 2021

I have set 4 epics status to Done, and still are showing up on the Epic panel in the backlog view. I have done this previously with an Epic with 3 tickets, it was hidden immediately. The Epics have been showing up there for a week now

how do I get around this bug?

Hi @Armen Babakanian

There are a couple of open issues for this symptom, which you may watch/vote for to see progress:

Are all the child issues under these Epics also marked as Done?

Are you using a Kanban board or a Scrum board?

When I set an Epic to Done, and it has no child issues then the Epic is immediately removed from the Epics Pane.

If it has child issues that are not Done, then the Epic is remaining in the Epics Pane.

In a Kanban board, when all the child issues were also done, the Epic remained in the pane. I think this might have to do with Kanban boards being configured to stop displaying "done" issues when they have been done for 14 days.

In a Scrum board, when all the child issues were also done, the Epic remained in the pane until I Completed the sprints that contained the child issues and then refreshed the display.

Does any of the above correlate with what you are seeing? We don't use Team Managed projects, so this is just what I found from experimenting with dummy projects.

yes all children are marked as done.

I am using Kanban, but this is showing up in the backlog. I will wait for another week see if the Epic is removed from the panel. Thank you for your help tough.
