There are some backlog items that are not appearing in the Backlog section unless the status. The items in particular that we would like to see but are not appearing are the Backlog items that have the status as "Backlog".
Is there a way for me to add the Backlog items with a status of "Backlog" to show in the Backlog section for our sprints?
The Backlog view I am particularly referring to is by going to a Scrum board, clicking on Backlog, and then scrolling down to the Backlog section. No items with the status "Backlog" are appearing here unless their status is something other than "Backlog".
Hi @Jimmy Kim ~ is this a team-managed project or a company-managed project? Are the "Backlog" items assigned to a Sprint? If so, they would appear in the sprint bucket rather than the backlog bucket. If this is a company-managed project, check the board filter to ensure that the missing issues are captured in the filter -- it may be that they are filtered out from the board entirely. Also check your board mappings to ensure that the items in question are mapped to a column. HTH
This is for a company managed project and the backlog items have not been assigned to a sprint yet. In the board, I click on Backlog and I see all of my available sprints there as subsections. It's here that I also see a Backlog sub section at the bottom but it only shows the tickets that have a status of anything other than the tickets with the "Backlog" status. I'd like for all of the tickets with a "Backlog" status to also appear in this sub section.

I was able to partially figure this out but still haven't solved the issue. It looks like when I enable the Backlog column, more of the Backlog items show in the Backlog section particularly those that are in Done, Won't Fix, or Closed status which aren't great to be showing and not necessary to be showing here. The Backlog section now shows more items but still not the ones with the Backlog status.

I think the bigger question that I'm trying to answer is how does the Backlog sub section in the Backlog section in a board populate what's shown there? This may help me get down to the root cause of why the tickets with the "Backlog" status specifically are not appearing here.

Okay, I was able to finally figure this out. By moving the "Backlog" unmapped status to the "To Do" column, it is now showing all items with the "Backlog" status in the Backlog section now.
