Hi,
In Jira I had one project, where everything was fine. Now I created a new project and the menu choices Backlog and Active sprints are missing in this one. It means I cannot access to the board and manage the backlog.
Can anyone help me please?
Thanks
Simone
Hi Simone, how are you?
Just to understand better your scenario, when you access that project, do you see a BETA tag alongside the project board name?
I'm asking you this because there is the Agility project template which is in beta version and due to the template design you don't have backlog and active sprints sections. So in case, your new project is based on that template, you won't be able to see those feature. If that is the case, you'll have to create a new project based on a different template (such as Kanban or Scrum).

Hello,
Is there a way to apply a different template to a software project to enable these features without having to create a new one? I have hundreds of issues imported from an older version of JIRA. It somehow got setup as a JIRA service desk project, instead of Software Project, which I would change if I could. I've since, changed the project type to a Software Type, but it's behaving similar to the above issue, no backlog and no active sprints. My Issue numbers are tightly coupled with bitbucket commits and customers, so I'm trying not to move them to another project.
Any help or recommendations you can provide would be greatly appreciated!
Thanks in advance!
-Michael

Hi Michael, how are you?
Sorry for my delayed reply.
In your case, since you moved from a Service Desk to Software project type, you're not able to see those boards because since that project initially was not a software type, the board was not created. That being said, click on the search icon at the left menu > all boards > create a board based on that project. That should fix your difficulty.
Let me know if that helped you.
Kind regards,
