Backlog displaying wrong Epic name

Backlog is displaying a different epic name than the one the story is assigned under.

Scenario

1. Create 1 story in project A and assign epic X to the story

2. Move the story to project B

3. Check backlog and now find epic name on the card is showing epic Y even though epic X is still assigned to the story 

Why does this happen? I've never seen this in years I've been on Jira.

Not something I've seen happen, nor a bug I'm aware of.

Could you perhaps provide screenshots showing each of the 3 scenario steps, so we can try to replicate?

Guessing it might be index issue. We were guessing it's because of that and reindexed. Next day I found it resolved.
