Being able to change Status within issue view

I created a Kandan with swimlanes that allows to drag and drop issues on next status, and you can change the status of the issue within quick view of that issue.  But I am looking for a way to be able to change status while viewing an issue specifically.

I want to be able to click on Backlog (inserted image) and see a drop down of the next statuses I can choose.

Look a little above the fields you've shown in the screenshot.  There is a menu bar with edit/comment/more, and then to the right, buttons that trigger "transitions" which change the status.  (A drag and drop on a board is just triggering a transition in the background)

Thanks for pointing me in the right direction where to look for it.  Upon finding that button. The button only allows to change the status to ISSUE no matter which swimlane it is in.  There isn't another option listed besides ISSUE

That suggests you have a workflow with just one transition called "issue" out of the current status.

Most of us enable the "view workflow" option for our users and that is well worth a look to see what the workflow should be allowing you - "view workflow" hopefully appears next to the issue status, and will pop up a box to show you the whole flow.

Here is my workflow, allowing for the Kanban swimlanes to function as I want them to.  Its a rather simple workflow, but still trying to understand why clicking the 'highlighted' issue from the last screenshot is the only status I can see.  As you can see by the image, All statuses can be change to ISSUE, but also all can be transitioned to OPEN, but still cannot click the issue button and see any statuses.
