Hi -- We have an intern who will stop work shortly and I would like to reassign the license to the new intern starting.
I have looked at videos and documentation, but I can't find any CLEAR steps for best practices here. Obv, I want to retain all of the history of the work that has been completed.
Any suggestions? TIA/
Hi Stephanie,
You simply make the first user inactive, and that frees up the license to be used by the next user.
Thanks for your quick reply....but how? removing their user from the product or suspend the user? These are the 2 options! TIA
You must be a registered user to add a comment. If you've already registered, sign in. Otherwise, register and sign in.
Suspension (site) or deactivation (organisation) removes users from auto-completion in user fields, but removing product access does not.

Hi @Stephanie Skantze ,
When you deactivate an account, Atlassian stops billing your organization for the user. Because you can restore the user’s account at any time, we won’t delete any of the user’s personal data while the account is deactivated.
