Bigpicture resource module gives htmlz scheduler error

sujata Birajdar February 2, 2021

we have purchase a licensed version of bigpicture add on whose version is 8.0.16 . But on the resources module we are getting error as " Your evaluation period for dhtmlxScheduler has expired. Please contact us at contact@dhtmlx.com or visit dhtmlx.com in order to obtain a license. "

Could anyone please let us know what needs to be done to resolve this.

@Sujata birajdarplease ask your database administrator to backup your Jira database where you have the BigPicture installed.

Could you please precise about what do you mean by failing in your case?

Hi @Sujata birajdar

DHTMLX is a JavaScript UI Framework; not sure we'll be able to answer why this isn't working!

I would suggest contacting the vendor directly - you can do this from their Marketplace listing's support page.

Hi @sujata Birajdar

We are aware of this bug. Please be informed that it has already been fixed.
We recommend upgrading your instance to the latest version available on the Marketplace - BigPicture 8.0.19.

Important information - make sure you have a full backup before the upgrade.

Best,
Anna of SoftwarePlant

@Sujata birajdar

A database upgrade is an indispensable part of every version upgrade. It's an update of the BigPicture database schemas in order to keep BigPicture data integrity. Without this action, our app will not work properly.

However, before enabling a DB upgrade, make sure you have made a full Jira back up.

so this  bigpicture app update will automatically upgrade the DB or do we need to upgrade it first.

we are using MSSQL 2016 R2 database. so could you please let us know what all we need to take care of.

@sujata Birajdar

Step 1 - please click on "back up your Jira data." Once a backup is done, you can go to Step 2 - click "Confirm and run." The second operation will upgrade a database.

Those 2 steps will complete the BigPicture upgrade. There is no necessity to perform any other operations :)

Hi Anna,

Thank you so much for the info . I have asked the DB team to take the backup of the Database.

do we need to take any Jira backup manually except clicking on the "Back up your JIRA data " . also do we need to perform these steps on the server where the JIRA is installed or we can do it from anywhere if we have admin access .

any chance this could fail?

@Anna-BigPicturecould you let us know if the latest version of the add-on (v. 8.2.5) will work with jira 7.13.5?

Hi @AJ_V

This is an old question; it'd be better to either create a new question, or given it's about a specific App, contact the vendor for direct assistance.

If this is about BigPicture, you can see contact options on their Marketplace support tab.
