Good day! Welcome to Atlassian community :)

In order to block parent issue to transition to done until all child issue status done, you can achieve this with a workflow transition Condition called "Sub-task Blocking Condition". It is a condition to block parent work item transition depending on sub-task status.

Thank you so so much :) is there a way to do it with validator so that people can see the transition but see the error. Otherwise they'll keep asking why they don't see the transition :D

@İclal Aslan Unfortunately, we dont have any options in validators to achieve this configuration.

Hi @İclal Aslan, no it won't work, to make it work, you will need 3rd party validator or create some workaround with automation that would revert the transition

I have JMWE and using this(below) Issue Link Type : belongs to Epic wont work do you have any ides of this?

Since some time the Epic Link has been replaced in Jira by parent field. Is there a Parent option? Maybe check that
