Board groups by Category is not updating to reflect the categoy on the List

On a business project, we have entered in Categories on the list view, but when we go back to the Board view and Group by Category, it does not reflect what we just entered on the list.  It seems to be working once in awhile, but not consistently.  What are we doing wrong?

Hi @Tammy Aulston By board view, do you mean the Kanban/Scrum board. If so, do you have the swimlane queries set-up, so it will group by the category. Please post some screenviews so can understand the problem better.

it was a business project.  But we did find the reason it appreared to not be working.

Seems that the board settings were set to remove issues from the board if they have been done for 14 days.  So on the issue list was seeing all issues, but the board was only showing issues that were done for less than 14 days.  So think the functionality is working...just didn't know this feature was on this board.
