The search box on a board used to be able to return ticket IDs but since a day or so, this has stopped working. The ticket is visible on the board and was findable before, has something changed in the last 48 hours or so that now means ticket IDs cannot be searched on, in a board search?
Hi @Saskia van _t Hoff ,
Welcome to the community !!
I am able to search for jira tickets within the boards. See attached screenshot.
Can you share me the screenshot and more info like what type of the project etc.
Are you able to open the expected jira ticket directly ?
That is exactly what I am not able to do anymore - I have a ticket with [project]-220 but when I enter 220 in the search box, the ticket does not appear. It also doesn't work when I enter the whole key.
The ticket exists and is in the active sprint
It is a team-managed Scrum project, no special permissions. And this used to work until about 48 hours ago.
The ticket can be opened and edited as normal.

Hello @Saskia van _t Hoff
Welcome to the Atlassian community.
I am having the same experience in my Team Managed Scrum board, but I don't often search that way so I can't say if it has changed.
If I search for the entire key the issue is found, but searching for just the number portion of the key does not find the issue.
There was a change released recently related to filters and the search feature of TM projects as per this article posted on July 27

Hmm, this might be the root cause of it, even if it doesn't specifically say something's changed in the search itself. Thank you!
Search as a whole, even when using the whole key, doesn't work at all anymore for us. It's fine on CM projects. I will raise the issue on this article as well, maybe it's a bug.

Regarding the failure to find the issue even when using the whole key:
1. Does that happen only in this one Team Managed project or does it also happen in other Team Managed projects?
2. Are other users having the same experience?
3. Have you tried using a different browser app, clearing your browser cache, or using a private browser window to see if the problem still occurs then?

Hello @Saskia van _t Hoff
What happens when you search for the complete Work item key i.e CMSD-220? I just test this out on my instance and the search function is working as expected. See attached screenshot

Why would you need to search the complete item? You are already in the project itself, and partial search worked just fine before

@Komail Hasan Its just to test it out if the search feature is not working for the user

That doesn't work either, there is no result at all even if I use the whole key.
