Good Morning everyone,
We have a bug in our JIRA instance,at some point we can't change a specific issue status (Re-opened, closed ..) for an unknown reason , however we can change other ones status ! it's occurring more often and often and it affects the work in the team.
PS: all the troubleshooting and the health checks gave a negative result (everything works perfectly) even log analyzer came with no errors.
this is the error message that I get when the bug appears. Please any help guys !?
This is an issue with the database not being able to get a record lock. What database platform are you using?
HI Dali,
Can you tell me what version if Jira you are using, if it is Cloud or Server, and if it happens for all users or just some of them? If it is just some of them, do they happen to have long user names?

Hi Scott
Thank you for the reply,
In fact this bug only happens affecting all the users (on that issue), you won't be able to change the status of the issue, but in the meantime you can change the other status of all the remaining issues.
I'm using version JIRA Core 7.9.2 installed on a remote server.

Hi Dali,
I see that a few questions have been raised with a similar error, but none that are happening to all users on a particular issue.
Rather than speculating I think you'd be best helped by raising a ticket at https://support.atlassian.com. Include a link to this Community threat in the ticket.

Hi Scott,
Believe me I tried, I sent two Support requests with the Support Zip containing logs and stuff but I didn't get a response, So I decided to come to the community hoping that I fond a solution for the issue.
