Is there a way that the custom field : Release date, be automatically updated, or completed. That is now the field in a story or epic?

It can be updated automatically.  Automation, scripting apps, or external functions can all change custom fields.

What are the rules you want to set for the updates?

All I want to do is to add the release date of the release to the release date field of all the issues in that release
