Can I add more Dates to Releases

I would like to add more Dates to the Releases of our application.  Each new date would correspond to a 'Stage' like (Test, Demo, etc.).  Is there a way to add these extra dates to the Releases?

Note: This was a question I had asked in a previous post about being able to view Release Dates as an Query output (which is not available unless you buy another costly add-on) >>> https://community.atlassian.com/t5/Jira-questions/Release-Dates-and-Other-Dates/qaq-p/1056651#M337992

not to "releases" but you can add date fields to "issues" and those issues are associated w/ "releases". Then you can create a view, e.g. a filter, dashboard, etc. that display the dates. Given they would be at the issue level it would be a pain to set them manually so I would investigate how to automate based off the target release date is that is in fact how they would be derived.

Thanks for helping clarify that Release section of JIRA has limited usefulness (typical).

I have explored the adding more date fields to my issue cards, but I have yet to find a way to auto-populate those values based on the Release Date.  Thanks.
