I want to give a daily digest every morning to my team or leadership team with some critical items that they have to review. One option that I thought is to create a Jira dashboard and share it automatically at the beginning of every day
Can I configure automatic emails? If so, what level of permissions are needed?
Hi @Archana ,
Welcome to the community !!
You must have permission to the manage the dashboard to set up subscriptions. Here is more details about dashboard subscription:
https://support.atlassian.com/analytics/docs/set-up-dashboard-subscriptions/
Cheers !!
You can schedule a Jira Filter also. With help of JQLs, you can create and save your filter. And you can subscribe this saved filter as per your need (Daily, weekly, monthly etc).
Details available here:

Hope this helps !!

I think @Deepak Jain is talking about the dashboards in Atlassian Analytics, while @Archana was asking about the dashboards in Jira. Those are not the same!

Is it possible to share Jira dashboards via subscription? It seems like I have used the functionality in the past to route dashboards managers on my team but I no longer see the option.

Our dashboards are a collection of various gadgets not single filter, we include KPIs and project details to stakeholders. Seems like Atlassian is spinning off new ventures instead of supporting current product's business applications. Unfortunate!

Based on those requirements, I do not think you need an actual dashboard if you need nothing else, but a list of those "critical items". (Dashboards would be useful if you need multiple lists, charts, etc.)
For your use case, just create a saved filter to find the issues that are considered "critical" and use the subscription functionality to email the list. See the doc here.
