Can I change issue priorities when viewing them in the list view of a filter?

When viewing the list view of the results of a filter I can click on the "..." icon in a row and do things like mark as done, assign, etc, but I can't change the priority. Is there a way to add priority to "..." menu so I don't have to open the issue? Thanks.

Hello,

You can change the priority of an issue in the "..." icon, only if you add a transition with a screen with the Priority field. In this case you will see your transition in the "..." icon and you will be able to click on this transition and you will see the screen with priority. To make it easier, this transition should be global (from any status to itself).

Thanks for the suggestion.

I actually don't have that much experience in configuring screens, workflows, etc. What would be the safest way to try this without changing any existing projects and configurations? Create a new project, with a new workflow?

With this approach, if you click on the transition in the "..." menu, would that open a new page in the browser, or open a window within the current browser window? Would selecting the transition actually put the issue into that state? For example, move it from "to do" into the new transition? Maybe I don't understand the idea.

I suppose another way would be to simply use the detail view for filter results.  I always use the list view and never found the detail view useful. I guess I assumed the list view was being used when I asked my question, I should probably edit that.  But I imagine the detail view would be faster for redefining priorities on filter results compared with clicking "edit" on issues in the list view (at least while priority is not listed in the "..." menu).

You  can change the current workflow. Create a transition from any status to itself. When you change a priority, the status will not be changed.

When you push the ... button and choose the created transition a new dialog will be opened.
