Can I customize Group by in portfolio view?

Hello,

I am looking to group by JIRAs based on a customized column which is not in the group by option. Is there any way to customize the grouping option? If not is there any development coming for this?

Firstly, welcome to Atlassian Community. 

Regarding your query, I suppose the Group-by option based on custom fields is not available as a feature. There is a request already for the same, which I can see is gathering interest status ,you can vote for it https://jira.atlassian.com/browse/JPOSERVER-2593
