Can I map custom fields when moving an issue from Team managed project to Company managed project?

Hello, I tried to move issue from Team managed project to Company managed project while keeping data, but it doesn't work. Because those custom fields were not mapped to the project I moved the Issues to.

So, is there any way I can use to map them or Can I use Automation to map these custom fields?

I know that I can use import/export but I want to keep history of issues, so this way is not work for me.

Hi @Nhung 

You need to create the Custom Fields on the Company-managed side first, see how to do that on this help page

Once created, you need to move data from your existing fields into the new ones. In my opinion, it's easiest to do this prior to moving as global custom fields can be added to Team-managed screens - so you could...

  • Add the fields to your Team-managed Project's Screen
  • Use Automation to move the data from the current fields, to the new fields
  • Then, complete the move to Company-managed
