Can I remove from the required fields?

Hey!
I have company managed projects where the due date is supposed to be a required field. 
Now some of my components are On Hold that i can transition but when it comes to required due date i can change that but not remove it all together.

Is there any solution to this!

Hi @Afroz Fakhir welcome to the Atlassian Community!

If Due date is a required field set by your field configuration, then you cannot remove it, even when some of your components are on hold.

Either the due date doesn't change and you want to mark these issues as overdue, otherwise you change the due date to a future date.

Of course you can also make the Due date optional in the field configuration.

Is there any other way around other than pushing it for the future date?
