Hello community :)
I was wondering if there is a way to clearly view the change of estimate for an epic.
All epics start with a specific estimate that our devs give (from the epics view in the backlog) which may be updated if the children tasks are updated or additional tasks are added. However, I couldn't find a view that would showcase this, and to find this information I would need to look into each task which is super time-consuming.
This would be super helpful in understanding the reasons behind epics not being delivered on the estimated date and doing some further investigation in improving our product development process.
When you use a company managed project and work in sprints, the epic burndown report shows the history of changes over time and it even provides you with a forecast of when the epic will be completed.
The link I shared above is from the data center version of Jira, but only because the cloud documentation for the chart does not contain any screenshots.
The changes are based on estimates on the child issues, not on changes to your epic.
Hope this helps!
hello @Walter Buggenhout
Thanks a lot for the input! I hadn't seen this one, I think it covers my need :)
