Can I use Feature issue type in the Roadmap?

I'm familiar with the Epic Roadmap default function but is there a way to configure the Roadmap and map out Features (additional issue type created) instead?

I have found a work around for this which is to rename the "Epic" type

Currently roadmaps in next-gen project an show only Epics.

This isnt solved. Why have you not included features in your roadmap functionality? it makes no sense.
