I've confirmed with my Kanban team that they cannot view the Workflow that I've developed. Is there a "View Only" option for users so they can easily/quickly refer to the Workflow to understand status/transitions?
Hi @John Tucci
There is a permission called "View Read-Only Workflow". Can you please go to project settings -> permissions page and check this one?
Thanks for the prompt reply and suggestion. I neglected to mention that we're using Team Managed projects. I check our "Project Settings" menu, and we don't have a "Permissions" page; we do have an "Access" page, and all non-admin users have "Member" roles...but that doesn't seem to include viewing Workflow.
I'm checking with a couple of users to confirm @Trudy Claspill suggestion above.
Kind Regards,
-John

Are you working with a Company Managed Project or a Team Managed project?
For Company Managed projects there is a Permission in the Permission Scheme called "View Read-only Workflow" which would give the users the ability to look at the workflow for a particular issue type. This only displays the workflow diagram. It doesn't let them see Conditions, Validators, or Post Functions.
I see the same "View Workflow" option shows in issues for Team Managed projects, but those don't use permission schemes, and I am a Jira Admin, so I'm not sure if there is a particular Role that a user needs in a Team Managed project to see that.

Thanks, as always, for your prompt and helpful replies. We are using Team Managed projects (apology for not mentioning that in my original post!). I just went to our Kanban board and opened an issue in one of the team member's swim lane to view the dropdown that you show above, the "View workflow" selection appears at the bottom of that status list!! I'll check with a couple of users to see if they see that entry.
Kind Regards,

I just confirmed with teammate that he has the "View workflow" entry in the status drop-down list!!!
Mission Accomplished!!!!
