Can i remove Program Features from my Sprint Backlog?

I have a project with 2 boards. 1 is a Kanban board for our high level Program Features, the other is our Scrum board. Currently Program Features are showing within the Sprint backlog. Ideally these would not be visible as if we require the scrum team to act, they would have created epics or stories under the feature.

 

Can I filter the backlog so that Program Features are not included?

Is feature a custom issue type?

Just try removing the issue type from the board filter, and they will not be visible.
