Hi All,
I am trying to clone an issue, which this issue is linked to another issue.
When I click on the clone button, it does not give me the option to link to another issue, and if I try to link the issue to existing problems, it also tells me that it is not possible to perform the clone
What should I do?
Thanks in advance,
Amit
Hi Amit,
I suggest you do a trial of the Deep Clone app from the Atlassian Marketplace. It may take care of your needs.
Hey @amit.bakst it seems you have something in a workflow - I assume a post-condition - that requires a field to be filled out or a connectin to be created when issue is created.
Take a look at your workflow on the issue creation and also on the usual issue creation screen to search for the required field that might be missing here.

Hey @Marta Woźniak-Semeniuk ,
There is indeed a condition where you have to link the issue through a link, that's why I included the previous links, but it still causes a problem

It seems that JIRA is having problem with applying that condition in Issue Clone and it is handled differently than for Issue Create. There is exactly the same bug in Server version too I think.
AFAIK you would have to remove the validation to be able to clone.
