Can't mention any users with @

I can't mention any users by using the @ button. And with "mention users" via the +-button, I can't either. 

 

Could you help me fix this? I saw some other questions regarding this, but when I try different things, it doesn't help.

Have you got the global permission "Browse users"?

Can you describe "can't mention"?  What actually happens?

No I'm a member of a company that uses Atlassian. It's the company Visionplanner.

Hi,

can you please tell us, where do you want to use the @-mentions? Which Jira-functionality do you want to use? Do you know, which Jira-Version do you have? Cloud or Server?

It's for JIRA.
