Can't put in done parent-issue

Miguel Belen October 2, 2019

Hi all,

i have an issue with the sub-task:

if any sub-task is in "Closed" status, i can't put in "Done" status the parent-issue.

Does anyone know how to fix it?

Thanks in advance,

Miguel

Hi @Miguel Belen

Check the parent issue type's workflow's Done transition There might be a condition there which is checking for the sub-task status and not letting you make that transition.

Hi Miguel - that's what it looks like when you are adding a new condition. Do you have any conditions on the transition(s) to Done?

Also, what does the error message say? Is it possible that there is a condition in ScriptRunner or Automation for Jira?

Hi John!

nope, there aren't any conditions on transitions or ScripRunner or Automation.

The error was that it wasn't possible to shift the parent-issue in "Done" because a/some subtask was/were in "Closed" status, once we moved them in "Done", it was possible to move also the parent-issue

That really sounds like the Sub-task blocking condition. Are you sure you are on the right workflow and that you have checked ALL transitions to the Done status?
