Can we add a new status to the default workflow in JIRA Software?

As a JIRA Admin, I want to add a new status to the issues. Is it possible to do that? If yes, then how?

Hi @Sana Aiman, the short answer is that you can’t change the default workflow. The best course of action is to create a copy and make the changes you want to see. Look at https://support.atlassian.com/jira-cloud-administration/docs/work-with-issue-workflows/ to start with, and learn more about how to work and customize your workflows.
